Common Problems we Fix

Furnace blowing cold air
If your furnace is blowing cold air instead of heating your home, there may be an issue with the ignitor, gas valve, burners, pressure switch, or perhaps even a cracked heat exchanger. With so many possibilities, it is essential to get your furnace looked at by our professionals to diagnose the exact cause.

Furnace not coming on
A furnace that won't turn on can be caused by a thermostat issue or a problem with the furnace's electrical supply, as well as a bad transformer or circuit board. We'll diagnose why your furnace isn't starting and explain the repair options.

Loud noises coming from the furnace
Banging, rattling, squealing, grinding, or other unusual noises usually indicate a problem with the blower motor or the ventor motor of the furnace. This can be caused by airflow issues, undersized duct work, oversized furnace, or an underperforming blower motor. We'll diagnose why the furnace is shutting down and provide solutions to your problem rather than simply resetting it and sending you on your way.

Furnace not heating house evenly
Uneven temperature in the home usually stem from unbalanced air registers, poor duct design, no return air grilles, undersized furnace, or incorrect fan speed. We can examine your duct system and measure air speed to determine if the system needs rebalancing, needs to be redesigned, or otherwise.

Furnace constantly running
A furnace that runs continuously may be struggling to reach the thermostat's set temperature, or there may be an issue with airflow, the thermostat, the furnace, or the home's heating requirements. If a furnace is undersized for the home, it will not reach temperature during peak heating demand, and the furnace will need to be replaced with a bigger one. If the building envelope is compromised, allowing too much heat transfer out of the home, that needs to be taken care of first before blaming the furnace. We'll diagnose the cause and determine whether the furnace, duct system, or building envelope is to blame.

Furnace red tagged
If your furnace has been red tagged, it means a gas technician or utility has identified a condition requiring attention before the appliance can safely continue operating. We can inspect the furnace and gas system, identify the issue, and bring the system back into safe operating condition so you can continue heating your home.
