About Water Heaters
They come in different kinds, shapes, and sizes. There are the conventionally vented water tanks, power vented water tanks, high efficiency water tanks, electric tanks, water heating and space heating combination tanks, heat pump electric tanks, and tankless water heaters.
Most water heaters come as a tank, or, a large container of water. These are good for holding hot water that is ready for you to use without always having to turn on the water heater. The more people in the house, the more hot water that is used, and the bigger the tank needs to be.
Tankless water heaters, on the other hand, heat the water up the instant the demand for hot water kicks in. No hot water is stored. This means that no matter how many people are using the hot water at once, you can never run out of hot water. Tanklesses come in different BTU outputs depending on how far the hot water has to travel in the home and how many sinks/tubs it needs to serve. Tanklesses also save a lot of space in the mechanical room as compared to tanks.
Both tank and tankless water heaters need to be flushed out and descaled every year to ensure longevity of the appliance. We have yearly water heater maintenance programs that you can sign up for so you don’t have to worry about losing your hot water.
